About Amy

Amy von Sydow Green, RD MS MD, is a registered dietitian, cookbook writer (4 published books so far) and recipe developer. Amy has over a decade of experience in the field of nutrition counseling, currently working both at Penn Medicine and in her virtual private practice. She loves working with her clients on healthy lifestyle changes. She has a passion for cooking and creating new recipes, and regularly posts fun tips, recipes and ideas on her Instagram account @sund_byamy.

Fun fact: Amy was born in Tokyo, Japan. However, she grew up in Sweden and currently lives in West Philadelphia with her husband Jeff, a college professor, and three amazing kids (18, 15, 10!). When she is not working or hanging out with her family and friends, she loves reading books or the New York Times (she will not give up the paper version anytime soon!). She enjoys many sorts of movement, having grown up being a rhytmic gymnast, and is now a serious Pilates fan, plus is very proud that she has completed the Broad Street Run 10 times.
